RC Miss Burgundy
RC Miss Burgundy (HIA SUD ABNUS x Noralla) Bred by Anne Souza of Rainbow Crest Arabians

We brought Burgundy from Idaho to Maine in the spring of 2018.

She is a very endangered preservation Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah mare of the Tahawi where only 3 other breed age mares exist. She had a colt in 2004 that passed. Since she has been with us, she has had two more colts Kismets Pinot Noir and Kismets Shiraz and finally gave us a daughter Kismets Sameeha which we tragically lost in 2024 to a broken femur bone. Prior to coming to us she was a trail horse logging in around 7K miles in the mountains of Idaho with her owner who graciously retired her so that we can preserve her rare bloodlines. She has been a wonderful mother and produced Solid citizens with excellent conformation who have started their own trail riding journeys. She is still being lightly ridden to stay in shape as she is a Cadillac and a joy to ride.
